Process Overview
Welcome
to the St. Joseph School admission process. We thank you for
your interest and hope the following information will help
you understand our process.
We begin taking names from prospective families in September
each year. This is for enrollment the following school year.
Students applying for kindergarten must be 5 years old by
August 31st and students entering grade 1 must be 6 years old
by August 31st.
In early October, we send out an information packet which
will include general facts about St. Joseph School, our
curriculum, our admission timeline and application checklist,
important dates (including classroom observation dates,
general information meeting dates, financial and volunteer
commitment meeting dates) and open house dates.
Notification letters will be sent out Friday, March 21, 2008.
Enrollment contracts and deposits will be due Friday, April
4, 2008.
Applications
Applications will be sent out December 3, 2007. Completed
application materials, including all forms and fees
(including financial aid application if applicable) are to be
received on or before Friday, February 1, 2008.
Completed applications include:
* Application
* Application fee ($60) non-refundable
* Student Assessment Form (parents)
* Student Assessment Form (teachers)
* Copies of most recent report card and standardized test
scores (i.e. CAT tests from last school year) Grades 2-8 only
* Family Participation Form (preschool or private school)
* Signature by pastor verifying parishioner status (copy of
Baptismal Certificate if Catholic)
