St. Joseph Endowment Funds
Making
a difference
Generations of children have benefited from the gift
of Catholic education from St. Joseph School. That
gift has come from many sources: tuition paid by
committed parents, significant annual contributions
from St. Joseph Parish, vigorous annual fundraising,
and the dedicated efforts of our school's volunteers,
staff and teachers, and support from alumni.
Yet,
the increasing cost of education makes an adequate
source of Student Financial Aid a critical component
of the St. Joseph School budget. Thanks to a group of
visionary - and very generous - parents and friends
of St. Joseph School, our school is fortunate to have
a substantial and growing endowment.
The St. Joseph Endowment Funds comprise two private,
nonprofit corporations:
*
St. Joseph Endowment Fund, incorporated
in 1979
•
St. Joseph School Fund,
incorporated in 1990
The Endowment Fund and Parish School Fund are
governed by a board of directors consisting of the
pastor, the principal of the school, the chair of the
School Finance Commission, the president of the
Parent's Association and a number of other
benefoactors and friends of St. Joseph School

Scholarship Funds
The Scholarship
Funds help families who would otherwise be able to
afford St. Joseph School for their children. During
the 2004-2005 academic year, nearly $67,000 in
scholarship assistance has been made available
because of our endowment.
Memorial
Scholarships
With a minimum contribution of $20,000 (cash or
pledge), a memorial scholarship may be established.
The proceeds from the memorial funds are used for
financial assistance for students to attend St.
Joseph School. We have the following named financial
aid funds:
•
Genevieve Albers Fund
• Rachel Bench Fund
• Ellie Rolfe Fund
• Donna Romein Fund
• Donald Burke Fund
• Mark Owen Mullally Fund
• Catherine LaCugna Fund
Teacher Enrichment Fund
Created by thoughtful contributors during the
school's 75th Anniversary Campaign, the Teacher
Enrichment Fund is designated for support of faculty
member's continuing education training, which in turn
benefits the children entrusted to them. Since 1985,
the Teacher Enrichment Fund has grown to
approximately $380,000. with an annual distribution
of approximately $12,000.
