COMMUNITY BUILDING EVENTS

The PAB helps strengthen our community by staffing such events as the Parish/School Picnic and supporting the Welcome Committee, Room Parent Program and K-3 class Potluck Dinners. In addition the PAB provides annual conference dinners for the teachers and staff and Refreshments for Catholic Schools Open House Mass.

PARENT LECTURES SERIES AND CURRICULUM NIGHTS

Each year the PAB sponsors a series of lectures for parents on a variety of topics on education and child development.

This fall, the series opened with a presentation on the math curriculum for grades K-8. Rick Boyle, Academic Vice-Principal, discussed the philosophy and implementation of the mathematics program and how learning is assessed.

We welcomed Dr. John Gottman, PhD, to St. Joseph School on
Wednesday, February 27.

Dr. Gottman is one of our nation's foremost researchers in marriage and parenting. He is also renowned for his informative and highly entertaining talks on these subjects!
