I am originally from Claremont, NH and I come from a
family of teachers; my mom taught kindergarten and my
father taught History and was a high school vice
principal.
I attended Hamilton College in upstate NY for my
undergraduate degree with a major in Biology.
I have been a teacher for 12 years and I have always
enjoyed watching students grow and learn.
My first job was teaching English to factory workers
in the Czech Republic. Afterward, I taught a reading
program over the course of 2 years in schools in
Jamaica, Trinidad, and Puerto Rico. The majority of
my teaching career was spent as 6th grade teacher in
Aspen, CO.
My wife and I moved to Seattle in 2006 and I have
been blessed to have had the opportunity to work as a
principal intern and fifth grade teacher here at St.
Joseph School while completing my masters in
Education Leadership at Seattle Pacific University.
Outside of work, I enjoy fly-fishing, mountain
biking, skiing, hiking, and camping.
