Volunteering at St. Joseph

Parents help with all the major events and fundraisers at St. Joseph School. Because of this, we believe that the partnership between family and school is such a wonderful and supportive collaboration that we have a requirement as part of our Development Contract that requires 25 volunteer hours at school per family per academic year.

We have many service opportunities over the course of the academic year with which we need help to ensure their success. Hours may be earned in a variety of ways. Here is a list of just a few of those ways:  help in the office and classrooms, chaperone on the ski bus, help with the auction, jog-a-thon, dances, serving on a school/parish committee, Parish/school picnic, CYO sports and scrip selling.

Submit the Volunteer Opportunities Form when you’ve found the perfect way to fulfill your 25 hour commitment for the 2011-2012 school year.  Then  complete the online Donated Hours Form, or print and fill out the Donated Hours PDF to get credit for your effort.  The PDF form can be turned in the the Development Office.  Any questions on volunteer hours can be directed to Debra Hofbauer.

The Archdiocese of Seattle requires that all volunteers complete the SAFE ENVIRONMENT series of classes.  These classes are offered throughout the year at various area parishes and schools (including ours).
