Sauvage Bros. Hoop Camp

Bill Sauvage will be running basketball camp again this year. Sauvage Bros. Hoop Camp will again be offered the week after school gets out. Below are the particulars.

June 18th-21st Mon-Thur. in the Wyckoff Gym
Session 1 co-ed Grades 1st-4th 9:00-12:00
Session 2 Boy's Grades 5th-8th 1:00-4:00

*Register for grade entering next year.

Study Skills Camp


Beth Peterson, who has been a classroom teacher for over 17 years, facilitates the study skills camp. She coaches elementary to college-aged students helping them use their strengths to navigate through school and build self-confidence. Jenny Fetchko is the learning resource specialist for 5th and 6th grade at St. Joseph School and is excited to join Beth in facilitating the Study Skills Camp. Click HERE for more details.

 SEA-STUMP The Picture Book Project

A Summer Workshop at St. Joseph School

August 13-17, 2018

Join us this summer to practice essential writing techniques, engage your storytelling powers, and expand your illustration abilities! This 5-day workshop explores the process of writing and illustrating children's books. Students will develop their own ideas into complete, professionally printed picture books, using iPad Pro technology. The instruction targets Common Core standards for narrative writing, as well as illustration lessons, digital design techniques, and tips of the picture book trade. Tuition is $300.

Andrew LeTellier, St Joseph's 7th Grade language arts and literature teacher, will facilitate the workshop. Open to St. Joseph students only entering grades 5th to 8th. Space is limited, so sign up soon!

End-of-Year Reminders


Starting May 1st 

Students may check out one book only.  If students have overdue books, they may not check out books.


May 21st – 25th

This is the last week of checkout.  Overdue notices sent home.


June 1st

All library books due.


Please encourage your children to return their library books!  Report cards are not held for overdue books; FACTS accounts are billed. The Business Office will bill 5/21, due 6/17, then again on 6/21, due 7/17 for any May activity.


Summer Reading

Lists for summer reading suggestions are available in the library and on the library website.


Blythe Summer, Montlake branch librarian, will visit our school on Thursday, June 8th to present summer reading ideas and programs to all grades.
