January 18, 2018

John Hickey

In my note yesterday morning, I mentioned that my gaze is fixed on next school year. That's true for staffing and budgets, but just as much in our fundraising efforts.

While it may seem like we just had the auction, we are already planning the next one! Wanting to capitalize on the success of our Saddle Up auction, we're hitting the ground running. I'm very pleased to announce that our chairs for next year's auction will be Courtney and Andy Heily! They will launch into this role in fine shape, thanks to last year's chairs, Kim and Pete Nisbet. We have templates, schedules, and other organizational documents that will serve us well into the future. So, get ready for another fantastic auction, November 2 and 3, 2018!

6:30 pm – 8:00 pm – Film

Dinner will be served at 5:30 PM in the foyer with the film beginning at 6:30 PM in the auditorium. The goal of "Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety" is to start a global conversation and raise awareness around anxiety. Through candid interviews, they utilize the power of film to tell the stories of many kids and teens who discuss their anxiety and its impacts on their lives and relationships, as well as how they've found solutions and hope. In addition, the documentary provides discussions with mental health experts about the causes of anxiety and its sociological effects, along with the help, resources and tools available to address the condition. View the Trailer.

We encourage all families to attend. It is most appropriate for adults and 7th/8th grade students.
