Community is not just a thing, it is everything!

At St. Joseph School we recognize that our community is what holds us together. Our community comprises parents, staff and faculty, our students, alumni, grandparents, coaches, parishioners and our dedicated sponsors.

We support each other in the classroom, from the sidelines while cheering, at a speech tournament, through roaring applause following a performance and by coming together in support of our school. We are a group that truly enjoys each others company and we have made sure that there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to come together.

Catholic Schools Week
Last week of January

Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week has been the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week. It is a time where we highlight the great work of Catholic Schools and recognize those that make it possible. This annual celebration is observed with a Mass and activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Catholic schools across the country focus on the valued Catholic education provided to students and contributions to our church, community and our nation.

Our Grands Celebration is for all the “Grand” supporters in our community who are grandparents, relatives, or family friends. It is a favorite event for everyone! Grands will enjoy a special student-led Mass with performances by select grades and lunch served by our 8th graders. Other highlights of this special day include informal student-led tours, photo opportunities in the gardens, and a presentation by our Head of School. This is a free event, but registration is required.

Hall of Honor Celebration
Held each spring

Each year we come together to thank those that have gone above and beyond in support of our school. This support may include financial contributions, legacy gifts, volunteering more than 100 hours, and/or serving on a school committee or commission. We also come together to recognize the incredible work of our alumni. The culmination of the event is the presentation of the Outstanding Alumni Award, Hall of Honor Award and the St. Peter Faber Award

The Outstanding Alumni Award is presented to an alum that has used their gifts to serve others and make the world around them a better place. The Hall of Honor Award recognizes a community member that is a prime example of one who seeks the magis, always asking, "what more can I do for my community". The St. Peter Faber Award recognizes a corporate partner who has gone above and beyond in supporting the school through sponsorship, in-kind donations, and committed involvement.
